Welcome
Welcome to my Changing the Paradigm newsletter. Each month there is an article from myself in REFLECTIONS and one from The Great Brotherhood of Light, who are the masters that I work with, in MESSAGE FOR MANKIND. We also include a question and answer section, Q & A, where we choose one or two of your questions each month and answer them for you. If you would like a question answered in the newsletter, please email it to info@jeddahmali.com and put NEWSLETTER QUESTION in the heading. And finally we have our NEWS section at the end where we announce courses, retreats, product launches. We hope you enjoy our newsletter. If you have a suggestion on articles or sections you’d like us to consider, please send them to info@jeddahmali.com and put NEWSLETTER SUGGESTION in the heading. As you go about your day, don’t forget to smile, to be kind to yourself and others and (as my favourite sticker says) “Cheerful Whistling Permitted”.

Healing our World
We all carry in us an idea of how the world could look if we were given the chance to organise it! We may not realise this idea is even there. But in some form or another, we all know how we’d like people to treat one another, the freedom and respect we’d give the animal kingdoms, how we’d have abundantly diverse ecosystems overflowing with life forms. We all want clean water to drink, healthy food to eat, abundant resources to provide for ourselves. We all want a picture of perfect harmony. Never do we long for people to be hungry or afraid. Never do we imagine species becoming extinct. And never ever do we wish for wars, devastation, cruelty. Are we alone in this? Or is it universal? A peek inside most people’s heads reveals something we don’t often realise. That we all, without exception, wish for a world based on wisdom and respect. Why is that?
Our longing for harmony is universal. It’s woven right into the fabric of our being. If we look at the nature of our sub atomic structure we see it is a force of light that expands without end. This substance is hard to contain, it seeks expansion by its very nature. This energy lend itself most readily to states of being which are likewise expansive; trust, love, openness, acceptance, wisdom, joy, peace, generosity and goodwill (benevolence) to name a few. As it is the actual substance of our existence, our being, we, as the beings the substance is forming, are most suited to these states. So when we imagine how we want thingsto be, we find that we pull up images that reflect our innate nature. We do it so automatically that it’s often not questioned. Ask anyone, anyone, if they want to be unhappy, if they want to experience loss and pain and grief. The ‘no’ that you get in answer is the same throughout humanity. Surely this is worth noting. We are so used to noticing the differences between people. It’s a fascinating part of our presence here. But how often do we look at what is common to us all?
In my dealings with people over the many years I have been teaching, healing and advising, I have found this desire for harmony to be the single common factor in mankind (actually it exists in nature too but that’s another newsletter topic). The Dalai Lama has addressed this many times (he refers to it as happiness). It is a central theme of Buddhism. So this brings us to the question – if we all have this desire built into us (nobody wakes up and decides to be this way – it’s programmed in), and we are designed to express expansive states, then how come we seem to create so much strife?
All the pain, tension and lack we feel is the result of denying, holding back or misreading our true nature. If we engage in thoughts, beliefs and opinions that we (as individuals or a species) are wrong, lost or bad, however subtle, we curb the naturally expansive force. We are no longer working in harmony with the design of existence. Pain tension and lack are the result. How can we bring about healing?
The first and easiest thing we can do is to recognise that our desire for harmony is actually there. It’s so familiar we often overlook it. Once we have located it, it can feel like a warm presence, a reassuring voice. It can become a reliable yardstick to measure how closely we are working with our potential as human beings.
Secondly we can remember how we ourselves like to be treated and extend that to others (including all creatures and nature). There’s nothing like being met with a friendly face in a room full of new people, being waved into the line of traffic when you’re waiting at a junction or being let off the few cents that you are short for your morning coffee. You can start there and work your way up to founding a new charity, running for president or walking the globe for peace. Actions, however small, start to manifest that picture of harmony and peaceful co-existence that we all carry.
Thirdly, we can practice allowing. ‘Allowing’ is the ability to let our goodness shine out. We acknowledge our nature – given to us by existence – and we allow ourselves be expansive in whatever way feels right. Notice we don’t have to learn to be this way, it’s already the fabric of the design. We simply become conscious of allowing it free range. The wonderful thing about ‘allowing’ is that you can do it with any quality, thought, trait and you can do it as modestly or extensively as you choose. And it really works! Try it.
We don’t have to wait for government reform to make this planet more habitable (they can’t legislate the points above anyway – it’s a personal responsibility!). We change our world by changing our part in it. And if you’re wondering about all the millions of people who aren’t making these gestures – Don’t! The trust, love, openness, acceptance, wisdom, joy, peace, generosity and goodwill we generate will create an environment that makes it easier and easier for expansion to happen. So initially we are influencing the energetic environment but once it builds to a certain point, the energetic environment starts to influence us, to facilitate our expansion. So let’s get the ball rolling!
In love and remembering,
Jeddah
Message for Mankind
Beauty and Truth
These two qualities are in abundance on this planet. We may not feel their presence consciously but we would at once notice if they were not quietly casting their influence. Indeed, what would life look like without them?
We see beauty as being the perfection of all the elements of life coming together, ceaselessly unfolding. There is no end point. Just think of that. Nothing is ever finished. Nothing is ever lost. One element rolls into the next, endlessly transforming itself. Even the energy of the body continues after death. It enters the ground and is used by the organisms there. Imagine this dance of molecules coming together to form matter, dissolving back into sub atomic particles and reforming into new matter. From our perspective this creates a beautiful tapestry of colour, pattern and vibration. There is no end to the possibilities that can be created. When you experience beauty, you feel full, you feel there is nothing more to add. You also feel gratitude. You connect with the formative forces that brought such beauty into being. Beauty has less to do with how something looks, and a great deal to do with how something feels.
Truth is much more than an undeniable fact. Truth is the revealing of what remains when all else has gone. It is existence that does not waver. Truth is seeing things as they are without even the merest hint of interpretation.
The naked reality. Truth allows us access to the fabric of existence, of Life unfolding – moment by moment. Truth holds the essence of existence in pristine form. Without it there would be nothing.
We wish you to know that your world is held together by Beauty and Truth and fashioned with Love. It is the reality behind everything you experience on Earth. How your world would change if it could but see this. This is why we willingly lend you our ‘eyes’.
Ceaseless Blessings,
The Great Brotherhood of Light
Questions & Answers (Q&A)
Question: How can we recognise the Sea of Awareness?
Answer: It’s everything. So if you’re looking at something, then that’s it! First you have to know that, and then you start to recognise it everywhere. Not the other way round. If we’re looking at life asking for the Truth to burst out and hit us over the head, we’ll only manifest the fruit of seeking. In order to find we have to know it’s possible. Knowing it’s everywhere, knowing seeing it is possible allows the reality of finding.
